The RSPCF (Royal society fot the Prevention of Cruelty to fairies) has asked the publisher of the book, Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book, to make it clear that no fairies were harmed during manufacture. The pictures in this book, and this layout, are "psychic impressions" of fairies.
