Making a diagonal lined backround

This is more preferable for website layouts, so that users with modems would only have to download a small file for a full background. Or, alternatively, you can use this to make a cool background in seconds for graphics and deviations.

Step 1

I'm going to make a striped backround by using this image.

You should save this image. This will be the template you will use. (It's sort of cheating, but it is MUCH faster). You can edit the two colours to whatever you want.

Step 2

What you do is open the file that you selected, and go Edit>Define Pattern and call it whatever you want. Open up a image that you want the background to have and select the paintbucket.and use theses settings. For the pattern, select the pattern that you just made.

Now all you need to do is fill the background. Easy as pie. Tou can fill the image to as big as you want. This is what the lines would look like om a larger space.
