The Six Stars flow and fall.
But one dark star rising against all.
Shura is not of Heaven,
will destroy Heaven when in Heaven,
and Earth when on Earth.
The new thunder God of Heaven roams
...Then...
The Six Stars shalt be the "Break"
and destroys Heaven.
The prophecy marked the beginning of the hardest journey of Yasha-ou, to free Ashura from the kekkai that has kept the child from awakening, and to find the 6 stars that will overthrow the evil Taishakuten, god of thunder.
Upon releasing Ashura from the slumber sleep of 300 years. Ashura told Yasha that he will be punished for awaking him, that he will destroy everything, since the Ashura clan is the God of War. (Ashura is sexless…but in this case, we use “he”) Yasha and Ashura journeyed through Tenkai to search for the 6 stars, in hope of defeating Taishakuten.
Ashura’s deceased father, Ashura-ou dreamt of a tragic event before the birth of the child Ashura, that his child will be the real God of War and destroy Heaven. Even knowing that it will defied the Wheel of Destiny, he made a deal with Taishakuten, asking Tai to make sure Ashura, his child will sleep forever, in exchange for the desire that Tai had for Ashura-ou *hints*.
To keep his promise to his loved one Ashura-ou, Tai waged a war on Tenkai, took control and made sure that the 6 stars will never form. Yet the Wheel of Destiny still tied them to their own fate and destiny. Will they be able to fight it, to fulfil their promise to each other, or is destiny something unescapable?
This manga has beautiful art, EXCELLENT storyline, it’s addictive, original, tragic yet beautiful.
One of CLAMP’s best works since they started. I own the whole set and I love it sooooooooo much.
