Original Storyline: CLAMP

This movie only goes for 120 minutes or so. There are over 20 Volumes of the Manga X. There was simply too much to fit in to that small time frame. Lets say I was disappointed. In the first five minutes, you see a naked Kamui's mother pull the Sword of Destiny from inside of her womb, amidst blood, gore and flames. The five minutes preceding sees Subaru die.

The movie is not very faithful to the manga. All there is there is the key elements. Characters who live die, and main characters don't even show up half the time. Although I have to say, I liked the final conclusion of the movie better than the one in the Anime, although it didn't have any of those "Pulling of the Heartstrings" moments. It truly was something to be desired for.

However, that's not to say the whole movie was bad. The art, as per expected of a CLAMP work, was stunning. That means, heaps of Sakura and feathers floating around. Beautiful girls, and even more beautiful boys.

This is definately not a movie I think I'll be watching again. I prefer the anime, and the manga a lot more, and the storyline was simply terrible. There was no character development - a character only showed up for long enough to die in my opinion.
